Flags and Wags
What We Do
Flags & Wags is a 501c3 non-profit organization with the goal of saving pets and helping vets.  Through our extensive network of pet rescue organizations and shelters, we provide a selection of dogs (and cats if that is a better fit) for our clients to meet, spend time with and even have a sleep over to help determine the best "buddy" for their life.  Our clients are often civilians, but our passion is to help the brave men and women returning home and transitioning back to civilian life.  Each of our clients have unique interests, histories (i.e. a childhood pet), living arrangements (i.e. apartment only allows for small dogs), and lifestyles that we try to take into consideration when helping them find the right companion.  Click here to request our 501c3 documentation.

Our History
In 2011, Diane Donnelly Myers and Eric Myers, drawing from their passions of helping veterans (Eric served in the Air Force) and protecting, saving and taking care of dogs, they decided to form a foundation that combined the two.  Flags and Wags was formed.  Their slogan of  “Save a Pet, Help a Vet” is the culmination of the mission of rescuing dogs from shelters in order to buddy them up with a veteran who has so honorably served our country.  Each and every pairing would have to be the perfect match.  The network of Partners is growing as more and more individuals and businesses learn of their cause.  It’s not going to be easy, but with the help of so many generous supporters and their passion for both dogs and veterans they couldn’t think of a better way to give back.  We hope you will join us in some way to “Save a Pet & Help a Vet!”
